[HARRISBURG, PA] – Orrstown Bank, headquartered in Harrisburg, PA, recently donated half a million dollars to 47 local organizations across southcentral Pennsylvania. The bank gives back in this way four times per year as part of Pennsylvania’s Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program.
The EITC program is a way for approved companies to lower their tax liability through contributions to K-12 private schools, scholarship organizations, pre-K programs and other education enrichment initiatives. During this round of charitable giving, Orrstown chose to support several organizations including libraries, education foundations, girl scout troops and science centers among many others.
