Young Professionals Network (YPN)

The Lancaster Chamber’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) engages, educates, and empowers young professionals (YPs) to be collaborative leaders and effective business professionals shaping the future of our community. The YPN program offers career and professional development for a community of young professionals (YPs) across Lancaster County interested in expanding their network, increasing leadership capacity, and enhancing community knowledge for success in the workplace. 

Did you know that if your company is a Lancaster Chamber member, you are already a member of YPN? That means you’re invited to all YPN events as well as all Lancaster Chamber events. From leadership programs to networking opportunities, there are plenty of ways to connect and grow.

30 under 30

Eligibility & Selection Criteria 

The Lancaster Chamber’s 30 Under 30 awards recognize young professionals who are making a meaningful impact in their workplaces, industries, and communities. Honorees are selected based on their professional accomplishments, leadership, community involvement and future potential.

Read Selection Criteria & Nomination Form Information before completing online nomination form. Only fully completed online nomination forms will be accepted as nominations. 

Eligibility Requirements 

  • 30 years old or younger as of December 31st, 2026  
  • Employed by a Lancaster Chamber Member business (check our directory here) Demonstrate professional achievement 
  •  Show leadership potential 
  •  Be involved in the Lancaster community through volunteerism, community service, etc. 

Selection Criteria  

Nominees will be evaluated based on the following areas: 

  • Professional Achievement 
    • Demonstrates excellence in their career through measurable accomplishments, innovation, professional growth, and contributions to their organization or industry. 
  • Community Involvement 
    • Actively contributes to the Lancaster community through volunteerism, board service, civic engagement, charitable efforts, or other forms of community leadership. 
  • Leadership 
    • Exhibits strong leadership qualities through initiative, influence, problem-solving, mentorship, or the ability to inspire and positively impact others. 
  • Future Potential 
    • Demonstrates the capacity to become a future leader within their organization, industry, and community. Nominees should show a commitment to personal and professional growth, a willingness to take on new challenges, and the ability to create lasting impact. This category considers the nominee’s vision, ambition, and potential to continue contributing to Lancaster County’s success in the years ahead.

    Whether you are a long-time resident or a recent transplant to the area, this is your opportunity to experience what Lancaster has to offer young professionals! Connect with other young professionals across Lancaster County while exploring our local towns, natural assets, idyllic countryside, or downtown Lancaster City.

    Lunch with Leaders  

    Learn how to navigate your own career goals and interests through the advice and expertise of experienced professionals in Lancaster County. Make critical connections, ask burning questions, and discover valuable lessons learned over the course of their careers. It’s basically speed mentoring!   

    Leadership Lab 

    Facilitated by Laura Schanz Consulting Associates, this 4-part professional development series is designed to equip young leaders to develop confidence in their competence, navigate organizational change, expand their leadership capacity, and prepare them to effectively coach others in an individual or team setting. 

    Young Professionals Network Advisory Group

    In addition to Chamber staff, the Young Professionals Network is led by a volunteer Advisory Group of up to 20 young professionals from diverse industries, experiences, and backgrounds. Interested in joining our Advisory Group, contact Emma Bitner at ebitner@lancasterchamber.com.
