Lancaster Farmland Trust Appoints New Board Members, Officers

Lancaster Farmland Trust (LFT) is pleased to announce our 2023 Board of Trustees officers as well as introduce the new members of the Board.


Elected by their fellow Board members in November, LFT welcomes two new officers for the 2023 calendar year: Jeff Kirk, Chair; Lisa Horn, Vice-Chair; Kenneth S. Lewis, Treasurer; Emily Bell, Secretary.


In addition to new officers, we welcome four new faces to our Board: Erin Letavic of Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc., Ryan Martin of Infantree, Darin Miller of Horizon Farm Credit, and Shane Zimmerman of Steinman Communications. All new Board members are appointed to one, three-year term.


Erin Letavic, PE is a professional civil engineer and senior project manager at Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. Her responsibilities include Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) program consulting and municipal engineering. Lately, she has focused on Watershed Implementation Program (WIP) Countywide Action Plan (CAP) coordination for 12 counties in Pennsylvania. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Allegheny College and a Master of Environmental Engineering from Penn State University.

Ryan Martin is the Co-Founder of Infantree, a Strategic Brand Development Agency in downtown Lancaster. He is a native of Lancaster County, graduating from LampeterStrasburg and later Kutztown University. In addition to his role at Infantree, Ryan is the Cofounder of the retail brand Ellicott & Co.

Darin Miller is the Senior VP of Corporate Lending at Horizon Farm Credit. He is a native of Lancaster County and grew up on his family’s dairy and poultry farm. Darin is a graduate of
Lancaster Mennonite and Millersville University.

Shane Zimmerman is President of The Steinman Foundation and Steinman Communications. The Steinman Foundation is a private foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life in, and the communities that comprise, Lancaster County. Contributions to the foundation over many years from LNP Media Group, Inc. and other Steinman Communications companies, have funded grants to a wide variety of local charitable organizations. Steinman Communications is a diversified holding company with a family of operating entities, including LNP Media Group, Inc., Susquehanna Printing of Lancaster, LLC, and Steinman Real Estate, LLC. Before joining Steinman Communications, Mr. Zimmerman served as the banking director of the Central and Northeast Pennsylvania markets for PNC Wealth Management. Mr. Zimmerman is a 1989 graduate of Elizabethtown College.

Lancaster Farmland Trust’s volunteer Board of Trustees is the organization’s governing entity and establishes LFT’s strategic direction to fulfill its vision for Lancaster County.
