Goodwill Announces New Board Leadership

HARRISBURG, Pa. (March 23, 2023) – Goodwill Keystone Area announced the appointment of Kenneth A. Norman as its new board chairman. Norman has served on the Goodwill Keystone Area Board of Directors since 2019 and has also been a member of Goodwill Keystone Area’s Foundation Board of Directors for more than 10 years. He replaces Richard W. Conley who served as the nonprofit’s chair since 2012.

“I am honored to have been selected to serve in this role, but have big shoes to fill as Rick did an outstanding job for so many years,” Norman said. “During my time on the board I have seen firsthand the positive impact Goodwill has on individuals and families in our communities, and I am committed to helping them continue this important work.”

Norman’s career spans more than 30 years in the field of financial planning and wealth advisory services. In his current role as vice president, wealth advisor for Fulton Private Bank – a division of Fulton Bank, N.A. – he specializes in providing comprehensive financial, estate, tax and retirement planning solutions for his clients.

In addition to his role as board chairman, Norman will continue to serve on Goodwill’s Investment and Development Committees, leveraging his financial expertise to support the growth of the organization.

“We are so thankful for Rick’s steady leadership – especially during the unprecedented challenges caused by the pandemic,” Goodwill Keystone Area President and CEO Ed Lada said. “Under Ken’s leadership, we look forward to build on our successes and grow a strong and vibrant organization. With his financial acumen and passion for Goodwill’s mission, we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead to help us advance sustainability so that individuals and families can thrive and flourish.”

Goodwill also announced two board leadership appointments: Ann Doerries as board vice chairwoman and Michael Curci as Finance Committee chairman. Doerries previously served as chief financial officer for UGI Utilities and Curci is vice president of Merchant Card Services for Fulton Bank.

Norman, Doerries and Curci were elected to three-year terms. Goodwill’s volunteer board of directors serves as the governing body and steers the organization toward a sustainable future.
