CPBJ names Kathleen Duffy Bruder to “Women of Influence” list

LANCASTER, Pa., May 1, 2023 — We are pleased to announce the Central Penn Business Journal has named Saxton & Stump attorney Kathleen Duffy Bruder to its 2023 Women of Influence list. Women of Influence honors high-achieving women for their career accomplishments. These women are selected based on their professional experience, community involvement and commitment to mentoring, and the honorees were selected by the publisher and editors of the Central Penn Business Journal. Bruder is the chair of the Saxton & Stump Regulatory and Government Affairs Group and possesses more than 30 years of an experience both as an attorney and a political lobbyist.

“Kathy is clearly deserves this recognition through a career of success navigating state and local government, as well as public service to the community,” Saxton & Stump CEO James W. Saxton said. “We’re very happy that the Central Penn Business Journal has recognized her influence and her positive work in this region and the Commonwealth.”

The former deputy chief of staff for Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett, Bruder served as the governor’s liaison for all state-wide management personnel positions and was the governor’s point of contact for numerous state agencies for funding programs, policy, legislative and press initiatives.

She also previously served longtime Harrisburg Mayor Stephen R. Reed as a cabinet member in the roles of deputy solicitor, labor attorney and director of human resources. In 2022, City and State PA named Bruder to its “Top 50 Pennsylvania Lobbyists” list, and she serves as a board member for Harrisburg-based Joshua Group, the nonprofit organization that provides support for at-risk youth in Harrisburg.

The Women of Influence honorees will be recognized June 27 at a celebration at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel in Harrisburg.
