As we observe National Volunteer Month, we encourage all businesses to explore the Get Connected platform, engage in volunteer activities, and continue making a positive impact in our community.

The New and Improved Get Connected Platform: A Game-Changer for Volunteering in Lancaster County

As the new Volunteer Manager with the United Way of Lancaster County, I couldn’t be more excited to introduce the revamped and revitalized “Get Connected platform”! This incredible upgrade is revolutionizing the way we connect passionate volunteers with our amazing local nonprofits. A huge shout-out to our talented marketing team, led by the visionary content manager, Daphne McMaster, whose hard work and dedication brought this transformation to life. The platform has been completely reimagined, and trust me, it’s something worth celebrating!

Better Looking, User-Friendly, and Easier to Navigate

Gone are the days of clunky, hard-to-navigate volunteer websites. The new Get Connected platform has been redesigned with both aesthetics and usability in mind, offering a more modern, polished look that makes browsing volunteer opportunities more enjoyable than ever. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a veteran volunteer, the user experience is seamless and straightforward. With an intuitive interface, it’s now easier than ever to browse volunteer opportunities from our incredible local nonprofit partners.

“As a volunteer, I love how accessible the new site is. It’s great knowing I can easily find ways to help without struggling through complicated navigation, shares one dedicated volunteer.”

A New Look and a Better Experience

Thanks to Daphne McMaster’s efforts in upgrading the platform’s appearance, images, and overall format, it’s now a breeze for volunteers to find opportunities that match their interests. The redesign not only makes the site more visually appealing, but it also enhances functionality, ensuring that potential volunteers can easily locate opportunities that best suit their skills and passions.

“Volunteers are the heart of every nonprofit,” says Jarissa Johns., our volunteer manager. “Making the platform more visually appealing and user-friendly was a crucial step in supporting our community’s desire to give back.”

A Hub for Valuable Volunteering Resources

One of the most exciting features of the updated Get Connected platform is the monthly blog. This regularly updated resource offers a variety of topics surrounding volunteering and its many benefits. It’s now easier than ever for volunteers to stay informed, discover new ways to contribute, and learn about the impact they can have on our community.

As a volunteer manager, I can say firsthand that the platform’s updates have made my job easier. I’m able to quickly assist nonprofits in posting recent volunteer opportunities and reach an audience of volunteers who are actively seeking ways to give back in Lancaster County. It also offers me an efficient way to manage event invites and volunteer registration.

“With this upgrade, we’re not just making it easier for volunteers to find opportunities—we’re helping nonprofits connect better with the community!” says our Volunteer Manager.

Streamlined Volunteer Event Management

Managing volunteer events has never been simpler. The new system allows me to organize and track volunteer activities in a more streamlined way, ensuring that volunteers have all the information they need to get involved. With the Get Connected platform, we’re able to bridge the gap between nonprofits and dedicated individuals eager to make a difference.

Three Facts About the New Get Connected Platform:

  • Visual Overhaul: The updated platform includes high-quality images, an improved layout, and easier-to-read text, all designed to enhance user experience.
