Each year the Lancaster Chamber recognizes several local business leaders who have made an incredible impact on our community. Our awards celebrate their leadership, honor their unique individual journey, provide insight on their business philosophy, and pay tribute to their dedication to making Lancaster a more thriving community.  Explore the annual awards below.

ANNUAL DINNER AWARDS

These award recipients are honored at our major annual event, the Annual Dinner, typically held in late Spring/early Summer.


Small Businessperson of the Year Award

Each year, at the Lancaster Chamber’s Annual Dinner, a local business leader is honored as the Small Businessperson of the Year. This award is made in recognition of the outstanding contributions of a small business or entrepreneur to the economy and overall progress of the Lancaster business community. This award recognizes a small business owner, entrepreneur, partner, or major shareholder of a company with 100 or fewer employees which has demonstrated growth in sales or volume, created new jobs and has contributed positively to the community.

ATHENA Award

The ATHENA® Award celebrates the potential of all women as valued members and leaders of the community and recognizes those who support them. The award honors individuals who strive toward the highest levels of professional accomplishment, have devoted time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and for actively assisting others, particularly women, in realizing their full leadership potential. The ATHENA® Foundation is a nationally recognized organization which recognizes individuals that assists women in reaching their full potential. The Lancaster Chamber has a license to distribute this award.

Thomas T. Baldrige CATALYST Award

Named for a Lancaster County catalyst leader, this award is given to a businessperson, business or community member within Lancaster County that actively contributes to quality of business landscape, place, and our community. The potential recipient regularly engages with the broader community to create unique collaborations, donates time and resources to its community, and vocally champions Lancaster County as a thriving community.

This yearly award will celebrate and honor a person who has supported or implemented a specific initiative or was instrumental in the movement or achievement of a project or challenge – all of which supports our community’s growth and vision for a thriving community for all.

OTHER AWARDS

The George C. Delp Award

George C. Delp Award Recipient 2023

This award honors a leader in the agriculture industry who is making an impact on community and within the industry in Lancaster County. This award is presented at our annual Agriculture Industry Banquet, tentatively to be held on November 21, 2024.

The George C. Delp Award is presented annually to a resident or business of Lancaster County who has made a significant contribution to the agricultural community. The individual/business must exemplify an outstanding dedication and commitment to preserving and enhancing agriculture in Lancaster County.
