Session 3 - Cybersecurity
The third session in our Small Business Series is all about cybersecurity. The presentation will discuss the Cybersecurity Framework developed by the National Institutes of Standards and Technology. It will provide a practical overview of security controls and best security practices that can be implemented in any business. Additionally, the concepts of risk management will be discussed to help business owners understand current threats and vulnerabilities.
Meet the speaker:
Arthur Friedman, CISSP, Adjunct Professor, Townson University, MD
Arthur has 37 years of Cybersecurity experience influencing strategic direction for organizations at the most senior levels in the U.S. government.Previous assignments include the National Security Council, the Intelligence Community, and the Department of Defense. Mr. Friedman is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a member of the (ISC)² Board of Directors, and an adjunct faculty member at Towson University teaching graduate level courses in Cybersecurity. He retired from the U.S. Army Reserves as as Colonel. Mr. Friedman has a M.S. degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, an MBA from Boston University, and a B.A. in Mathematics from Hofstra University.
