May 21 – WORK WISDOM SERIES: AUTHENTIC COMMUNICATION IN THE REMOTE ERA
Authentic Communication is the make or break factor for leaders, teams and organizations during the remote era. During this interactive workshop, Kedren and Sarah will teach three remote communication techniques to enable you and your teams to practice Authentic Communication to foster efficiency, psychological safety and joy. Join us to learn how to mitigate zoom exhaustion, select the proper medium for communicating, and techniques for co-creating clear, realistic expectations.

True collaboration is the cornerstone for developing the creative business strategies necessary to navigate the pandemic. During this interactive workshop, Sarah and Kedren will teach participants the two key dimensions of real collaboration, as well as the necessary questions we must ask ourselves and others to truly collaborate. Join us to learn about five concrete team practices which foster enhanced remote collaboration.

Kedren Crosby, Work Wisdom
Kedren holds a Master’s degree in Policy Science from The University of Maryland, graduate level Certificates in Nonprofit Studies from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Conflict Resolution at Notre Dame and has completed graduate coursework in Organizational Behavior at Harvard University. Kedren is also a certified practitioner of Emotional Intelligence and serves as adjunct graduate school faculty at Elizabethtown College. Kedren has written and presented extensively on burnout, work-life integration, authentic leadership, organizational culture, organizational conflict management and communication best practices. Kedren Crosby is a Founder of Work Wisdom.
Professionally, Kedren has enjoyed serving as a CEO, CDO, Director, Associate Director, Interim Executive Director, President, Vice President, author and professor. Her 25 years’ workplace experience in all three sectors (for-profit, non-profit, government) fuel both her empathy and her ability to see quickly into your specific scenario. Her practice is rooted in authenticity, appreciative inquiry, crucial confrontations, emotional intelligence, positive organizational behavior, transformative mediation, positive psychology and the platinum rule.
Sarah Colantonio, MS, Work Wisdom
With a Master's of Science in Communication and a Bachelor's in Psychology, Sarah has served as a professor of communication at both Millersville University of Pennsylvania and Penn State University since 2003. Her years in the classroom have benefited her coaching clients as she holds expertise in interpersonal communication, public speaking and group dynamics. In addition to her expertise in high performance communication, Sarah has studied mindfulness since 2004 and participated in training and certifications with Deepak Chopra, Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. Sarah is a Certified Meditation Instructor (CMI) and has completed Mindfulness training through the University of California, Berkeley.
Sarah is also a columnist for Central Penn Business Journal, an illustrator and the creator of The Inner Office and co-author of Authentic Communication. Sarah brings the evidence-based practices of mindfulness and authentic communication into your workplace.
