Hone your public speaking skills to make more engaging presentations. Whether addressing the Board of Directors, explaining a new procedure to fellow employees, or persuading your client to make the purchase, the ability to capitalize on one’s strengths to connect to an audience, craft an effective presentation, perfect the delivery and avoid self-defeating thoughts is paramount to leaving a lasting positive impression.

In a judgment-free zone, you will have multiple opportunities to develop and practice a variety of presentations in various venues. Immediate constructive feedback will be used to identify strengths and areas in need of improvement in order to make a higher level of impact. You'll come away better prepared to address future audiences by using a “toolkit” of tips to establish rapport, develop compelling content, minimize pre-stage jitters, and manage last-minute glitches.

Program Includes:

  • Pre assessment to determine individual objectives
  • Individualized feedback after every session pertaining to the individual objectives
  • A final evaluation specifying individual achievements
  • A recording of each of your presentations
  • Opportunity to deliver a presentation in four different venues of varying sizes

Meet the instructors:

Diane Dayton has more than 30 years of experience as a radio, TV and online interviewer and personality. She is a seasoned emcee and voice-over talent for regional and national clients including Hershey, Rite Aid, and Pepsi. As a performer, she knows that to make an impact, how one communicates is as important as what is communicated. As owner of Dayton Communications, she conducts private and small group voice and presentation skills sessions for executives, salespeople and managers, on-air talent, professors, and other trainers, with a focus on crafting an impactful message and memorable delivery. She is also Executive Director LCTV66 and Producer and Host of Cool Jazz Café and Behind the Lines

With more than 20 years of theater and stage management experience, Joanne Bender sees and understands the flow and essentials for a great performance and has a particular talent for making people feel comfortable and heard. She also holds master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Instructional Design and as an entrepreneur, has travelled internationally to manage not only artistic productions, but also to design and develop databases and teach software classes.  She currently manages productions at Franklin & Marshall College; co-hosts her own, entertaining, food experiences podcast; and continues to dabble with technology.
