Sustainability Summit: What Smart Businesses are Doing Now to Ensure Future Success

This kick-off event will expose you to a variety of resources, programs and best practices to help you begin or expand your organization's sustainability initiatives. With nine sessions available, you can plug into the topics that are most relevant for you:

  • Curious about the business case for Sustainability/Corporate Social Responsibility?
  • Concerned about environmental compliance?
  • Charged with decreasing your facility's energy costs?
  • Need to research alternative energy sources?
  • Wondering how to engage your employees and reduce turnover costs?
  • Looking for new revenue sources?
  • Interested in maintaining our quality of life here in Lancaster County?

The goals of the event are three-fold:

  • Raise awareness of the various ways businesses incorporate sustainable practices into strategic planning;
  • Provide access to resources and contacts that can facilitate your ability to move initiatives ahead; and
  • Connect you with other forward-thinking organizations for collaboration and partnership opportunities.

In addition, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., continue the conversation while enjoying beer, wine and heavy hors d'oeuvres. You'll also have an opportunity to meet our sponsoring organizations to learn why sustainability is important to them and how they're incorporating best practices.

Regardless of where your organization is on the journey, if you're interested in advancing the topic of sustainability in Lancaster County, you'll want to join us at Millersville University's Bolger Conference Center on November 2!
