This interactive six-week program that will teach an awareness of self-limiting thoughts and behaviors and minimize the impact they can have on the ability to effectively present in a variety of personal and professional situations. Participants will be introduced to the sound of their voice and learn more about the impact the voice can have in presentation.

Each participant will present in front of the group at least once in every session and receive constructive feedback. The Facilitators are skilled at creating a supportive environment that allows participants to gain confidence through practice and participation. The key to becoming a more confident presenter is practicing within a safe space!

Participants will also receive individual voice coaching as well as follow up feedback throughout the Academy. Various exercises throughout the sessions will also be recorded and used as feedback.

Topics
In this highly-interactive Presentation and Voice Academy and the sessions in the curriculum will be tailored to the needs and goals of the participants. The exact outline of each program session will be determined once all participants have registered and completed a questionnaire indicating how they use their voices and in what particular situations as well as their personal goals.

Topics that will be covered in varying degrees of intensity depending on the requirements of the group:

  • Small and Large Group Presentations
  • Getting and keeping the attention of the group
  • Content flow
  • Audience engagement
  • Getting your message across
  • Visual aids
  • Introducing yourself and other people
  • Keys to networking situations
  • Phone and listening skills

A common thread that will be emphasized in each and every session is the voice and how it is perceived in any situation. In this regard posture, projection and enunciation will be heavily focused upon in all aspects of every session but specifically in individual voice coaching sessions.
