Avoiding a Risk and Liability Hangover
featuring Robert J. Balch, principal, Casualty Litigation Department, and John Croumer, associate, Professional Liability Defense Practice Group and Casualty, Post & Schell

As a restaurant, bar, club or property owner or manager, are you aware of the liability of individuals and entities in the sale and serving of alcoholic beverages? Dram Shop (liquor liability) laws give rise to civil liability and often present significant exposure to damages when persons are injured as a result of the service of alcohol by businesses and their employees. This area of the law is growing and the expectations on bars and their employees are changing. This presentation will provide a recap of the law, and focus on the critical steps in avoiding and defending dram shop claims and developing a risk and defense strategy.

Please join Post & Schell's Dram Shop Liability Practice Group and the Lancaster Chamber for lunch and a comprehensive review of:

  • Trends in Pennsylvania Dram Shop law
  • Changes to employee training requirements
  • Proactive steps for risk and liability mitigation
  • Associated litigation and defense strategies
