Ag Issues Forum
featuring Jessica Risser of the National Pork Board
Without a doubt, pork farmers impact the local economy – affecting everything from employment and cash crops to taxes. This program will help you learn more about how pork is changing and what it means to you.
Risser will discuss how modern farming practices are helping farmers raise better food while improving animal care and protecting the environment; how agriculture continues to evolve by using science and technology to do more with less land, energy and water; and how American farmers contribute to their local economy while becoming leaders in the global food marketplace.
