Networking Events

The Lancaster Chamber offers a full calendar of networking events that provide members the opportunity to build relationships and stay connected with others in the local business community. No matter the size or nature of your business; networking plays a significant role in keeping your company visible in a relationship-based business climate. And remember, since Chamber membership extends to your entire organization, all of your employees are encouraged and invited to participate in any of our events!

Annual Business Meeting

At the Annual Business Meeting, business and community leaders hear how The Chamber has advanced the local business environment and impacted the community during the previous year. The upcoming Program for Action is also unveiled at this meeting, outlining how The Chamber will continue to work to build Lancaster County into a model of prosperity for 21st Century America.

Annual Dinner

As The Chamber’s signature event, the Annual Dinner provides a unique forum for thousands of business and community leaders to share an evening of networking and business-building. The event honors prominent members of Lancaster County’s business community with the presentation of top awards. The evening culminates with a keynote address delivered by a well-known national or international figure. Past speakers have included Nobel Prize recipient, Muhammad Yunus; former US President, William Jefferson Clinton; former New York Mayor, Rudy Giuliani; former British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher and newsman, Tom Brokaw.

Business Expo

The Chamber’s Business Expo is a one-day exhibition of more than 200 area companies showcasing their latest products and services to more than 1,000 business professionals. The Expo provides an important venue for exhibitors to showcase their products and services and for savvy professionals to conveniently and efficiently educate themselves about products available in the marketplace prior to the purchasing phase.

Investor Orientations

Investor Orientations are designed for new member companies and individuals who were recently hired by Chamber member companies. Investor orientations offer an introduction to the benefits of The Chamber, Chamber staff and the ways The Chamber is working to improve the community. They also give newcomers a chance to meet and mingle with other newcomers. Investor Orientations are held bi-monthly in conjunction with monthly Mixers.

Membership Picnic

The Membership Picnic draws a crowd of 800 business professionals each year, with 80% representing small to medium-size businesses. Chamber member companies are encouraged to invite their employees and use this picnic as though it were their own company picnic. All guests are invited to enjoy plenty of food and refreshments, musical entertainment and games and activities designed to foster networking.

Mixers

Mixers are relaxed, casual events. They are exceedingly popular and very well attended – drawing 200+ business professionals on average. Unique to their monthly host, they are never the same twice. Held at the sponsor’s business location they often include tours and product demonstrations or displays. Mixers provide networking opportunities that are as informative as they are fun. Please note that as of December 1, 2009, Chamber members will have the opportunity to bring non-member guests to a Chamber mixer for a fee of $20 per person.
